According to the custom of the Caribbean, the country of St. Kits and Nevis permanently passed from hand to hand: from the French to the British, and vice versa. What is especially impressive on the islands, their wonderful nature: many rare birds are here in large quantities, as well as monkeys, about which they say that they were brought by pirates. They are funny, curious, but not loved by local residents who destroy crops.

Sights of St. Kits and Nevis

The capital of St. Kits, the city of Buster, is located next to the sea, supporting both the British and French atmosphere. Its main attractions are: Independence Squares, circus, Church of St. George, Craft House, Black Rocks, Vulcanic Crater of Mount Linamyuga (Liamuiga). On the hill, Brimston was probably the most impressive fort of the New World – Brimston Hills, which is called “Gibraltar West India”. Frigate Bay is the main spa zone of the island, with beautiful beaches, hotels, golf fields, which are glorious of the country of St. Kits and Nevis.  

The capital of Nevis, Charlestown is a charming city, with wooden, colorful buildings. He has several exciting attractions, such as: distillery, military memorial, Alexander’s Hospital, Eva Wilkin Studio, Nelson Museum, Botanical Garden and Cozy Pinneis Beach Beach (Pinneys Beach). Several mansions of the city were turned into excellent hotels that are very popular. Diving lovers can explore coastal waters, where many ships have found the last refuge.

National cuisine St. Kits and Nevis

The country of St. Kits and Nevis has a reputation of the territory with excellent restaurants and delicious food. Creole, continental, French, West Indian cuisine is presented in local culinary establishments. Favorite dishes of the local population are: dairy piglet, ROTI – pies with potatoes, beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetables, Paella – stewed turtle meat.

Weather on St. Kits and Nevis

Like most of the territories of the Caribbean, the country of St. Kits and Nevis offers very comfortable weather conditions. In winter in the country it is not below 18, and in the summer – above 30 degrees. Like other leeward lands, hurricanes are possible on Nevis and St. Kits, especially from August to October.
