Installation of window sills, castings and slopes.

Window sill – one of the main elements of the window design. It is intended for the obstacle to the exit of heat from the room and contributes to the desired bend of the warm flow from the radiator, so a layer of warm air is formed near the window. This contributes to the extension of the window service life. So that the windowsill does not completely overlap the warm air flow, its width should exceed the opening of the window by no more than three to seven centimeters, and the width is no more than ten to twenty centimeters. Changing the window, you need to change the windowsill, otherwise gaps and gaps are necessarily formed between them.

The windowsill is installed on the mounting foam. At the junction with the window, it is necessary to apply a white silicone sealant. If the gap between the window opening and the windowsill is large, then it must be sealed with a solution of cement.

Purpose of castings – protection of the places where the profile of the window with the facade is connected. The tide prevents the penetration into the joint of moisture during precipitation. The width of the tide can be larger than a window opening of 3-5 centimeters, and the length is 6-8.

It is advisable to set the ebb together with the window to completely eliminate the ingress of moisture into the joint. To install the tide, in the lower part of the window design, there is a special groove. Fix the tide with mounting foam or other adhesive substance. The joint between the profile and the tint is filled with sealant after mounting.

To perform slopes on the outside, it is necessary to use paint or plaster with waterproofing properties, or with a silicone sealant coating. The fact is that the mounting foam has excellent thermal insulation qualities, but, under the influence of moisture, they are quickly lost, and under the influence of sunlight the foam is destroyed. Also, installation tapes with bitumen impregnation are used to protect the mounting foam outside.
