Tuvalo – Country Paradise of the South Seas

The Tuval archipelago consists of a chain of coral islands south of the equator, with a not very developed economy. In a word, the country of Tuval is a typical paradise of the southern seas. There are no mountains, waterfalls, thermal sources, but the azure sea, penal waters, coral reefs, sand and palm trees compensate for this drawback, and small uninhabited atolls surrounding lagons and underwater wealth are a unique attraction that is interesting to a large army of curious travelers. The country of Tuval is not very rich in Flora, limited mainly to fern and Pandanus, but some areas with shrubs are a habitat of many birds.

Attractions to Tuval

The most exquisite attraction of the capital Tuval, FunaFuti, is a huge lagoon, which extends 14 kilometers wide and 18 kilometers in length. She is ideal for diving and swimming. In the city itself you can admire the rich marine life of the reserve. This secure sea park consists of six tiny islands, which are a home for exotic fish, turtles and birds.

The country of Tuvalu is a place that attracted the attention of the whole world 100 years ago, when a special expedition from London proved Darwin’s theory of the formation of coral atolls. Tourist excursions are organized today in this place.   Funafala (Funafala) is the second most densely populated island Tuval. Here you can see settlements consisting of traditional houses covered with leaves. On the local coast you can practice visurfing, but swimming is dangerous here, because of strong currents.

National cuisine Tuvalu

The culinary habits of the islands, of which the country consists of Tuval, vary, but all of them are based on fish, seafood and local vegetables, such as Tarot. In cities, preference is given to seafood and meat, and in villages soups and vegetables eat more. Several dishes are prepared from the tarot: coconut soup with tarot, dried Tarot leaves, tarot chips and sweets from the tarot.

Weather on Tuval

Mild temperature seasonal changes are a characteristic feature of Tuval. Small temperature fluctuations can occur due to southeastern passats (March-Noyabr) and strong western winds (November-April). The temperature never drops below 24 degrees and does not exceed 35. Water temperature fluctuations are more significant (22-37 degrees) and depend on the depth and the season.
