Hackers hacked the servers of the UK Ministry of Defense and stole the data of officials, as well as active military personnel. Sky News TV channel reports this.
According to the publication, the hackers are allegedly connected to China. It is expected that on May 7, representatives of the British government will make a statement in Parliament in connection with the cyber attack. At the same time, the country’s authorities do not plan to directly blame Beijing for what happened.
The publication clarifies that the attackers hacked payroll processing systems. This allowed hackers to gain access to personal data, including bank details. Information has become available about employees of the UK Ministry of Defense, as well as current and former military personnel.
